John Gotti, Jr is believed to be the boss of the Gambino crime family from 1992 until 1999, when John Gotti, his dad John Gotti was sent to prison. 

Gotti was born on the 14th of February, 1964, in the Queens Borough in New York City to parents John Gotti and Victoria DiGiorgio Gotti, who were of Italian origin. 

Gotti was the fourth of four siblings and was educated in Howard Beach, New York. Through his early years, his exposure to the culture of mobs in New York City, 

He went to an academy called the New York Military Academy and later started a trucking company with the assistance of his father. It was called Samson Trucking Company. 

Although Gotti tried to avoid working alongside his father's gang in the mob, he was admitted to Gambino's crime family. Gambino crime clan in 1988, when at the age of 24.

He was appointed captain, or capo, in 1990, which gave him a leadership position at an early age. By 1992 the father of his son was sentenced to life imprisonment on racketeering-related charges. 

Then he joined The Carpenters Union after the trucking business went under. In the year 1990, Gotti married Kimberly Albanese.                         .
